Frequent Kernel Panics on Snow Leopard 10.6.8

Frequent Kernel Panics on Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I recently bought a used MacbookPro5,1 with a 2,4 Ghz Core2Duo Processor.
It was upgraded to 4 GB of RAM and a 750GB HDD by the previous owner. When
I received it 2 days ago, it was running 10.6.3, I think. It worked
flawlessly for the first couple of hours. Then I downloaded the update to
10.6.8. No Problems. After that, it wanted to download and install even
more updates for iTunes, Java, and the like. During this update process
the Macbook had its first Kernel Panic. It was followed by 3 or 4 more
during the next couple hours, with no particular pattern. (Browsing the
web, gaming, etc.) I did run a memtest, and it crashed the first time I
was running it. However, I was doing other tasks at the same time. The
second time, I ran 2 memtests, with absolutely no problems. The last
Kernel Panic occurred while I tried to uninstall the Avast antivirus I had
installed, since I suspected it as a cause for the panics. After unistall,
I had no more panics. Yesterday, I used the Macbook for a couple of hours
without any problems. I spent a lot of the time playing a 3D game from the
app store. No problems. Then, another kernel panic while watching a
youtube video, and another a couple hours later while just browsing
facebook. I did another memtest, still nothing. I then uninstalled
firefox, thinking it might be the problem, since it was involved in most
of the panics. I was able to use the laptop for a couple of hours, and
then it had another panic while watching a video on safari...
Here is the most recent crash log from yesterday:

I hope any of you guys can help me solve this problem. I really don't know
what to do. I really hope its not hardware related. If you need any more
information please tell me.
I already used Applejack and went through the whole process. After that, I
was able to use the Macbook for about 3 hours before going to sleep.
Today, after around an hour, it suddenly froze and restarted while
watching a youtube video.
At the moment, I cannot do a clean install of Snow Leopard, since I don't
have the discs yet. Any other suggestions on how to pinpoint the root of
evil?
